Required language skills

Must be fluent/native in spoken Mandarin. Written Chinese and spoken Mandarin skills highly regarded

Your duties

  • Attendance on Clients and provide Legal Advice;
  • Drafting various agreements, and commercial documents;
  • Assisting senior lawyers in complex or comprehensive Commercial Litigation matters;
  • Drafting of All documents for Commercial Matters including Letters of Demand, Follow up Correspondence, Statements of Claim or Complaints, Defences, Counterclaims and all relevant ancillary documents;
  • Negotiation of settlements;
  • Attendance at Mediation, Directions Hearings, and other dependent on development of skill set;
  • Handling client’s enquiries including existing clients and new enquiries and bringing them on as clients.

Your typical duties on legal files and non-matter related projects will include, but are not limited to:

  • With guidance from our principal lawyer, preparing the first draft of contracts, letters and other legal documents;
  • Legal research and preparing internal notes or notes for clients on legal developments;
  • Marketing and business development events where needed

  • Fluent/native in spoken Mandarin and strong English skills- spelling and grammar

Your duties

  • Assist with general operations of the firm.
  • Translating, word processing, preparing, and reviewing court documents, various legal agreements and correspondence
  • Provide general administration where required.
  • Coordinate meetings
  • Prepare and format complex commercial agreements.
  • Manage a large and complex filing system.
  • Assist with large volumes of end of month billing.
  • Assist in Marketing and business development events where needed.
